COMING SOON: CHAPTER WEBSITE PLATFORM UPGRADE

In the coming months, AFP will begin rolling out an upgraded chapter website experience on Higher Logic’s Thrive platform. Chapters currently in the program will transition in phases, allowing us to provide dedicated support throughout the process.

The new platform features a modern design along with enhanced tools—like dynamic content widgets and a personalized member homepage—to help you better engage your chapter community.

To prepare, chapters are encouraged to review and refresh their current site content and share their website admin contact information with AFP.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

The program provides chapters with a structured and supported framework to build and maintain their own websites.

New to the Program? Establishing Your AFP Chapter Website

Each chapter is required to complete the AFP Chapter Website Participation Intent Form. The information provided in this form will be used to structure and deliver your site according to your requirements.

Once enrolled, AFP provides a pre-designed website template built on the Higher Logic platform. Using this template, the chapter is responsible for developing its own site by adding content, customizing pages, and utilizing the platform’s existing features within the established structure. This ensures consistency across chapter sites while still allowing flexibility for local needs.

TRAINING MATERIALS

AFP and Higher Logic have assembled a number of how-to documents to help walk you through everything you need to know to set up and manage your AFP chapter website. You can find these resources (and more!) in the AFP Chapter Website Program Community Library on the AFP Connect site. The topics covered include: managing your site (e.g. organizing content, hiding, deleting and archiving pages, using the library and widgets, setting up a Facebook feed, etc.), managing events (e.g. documenting offline payments, email notifications overview, etc.) and more.

We’ve included a few of the most popular documents here for easy reference but we strongly encourage you to visit the Chapter Website Community Library for more information on a wide variety of topics. For those sites already on the Thrive platform, visit the Site Admin Resources page in your navigation for all of these how-to documents.

*Please note that these documents reference certain features that are available only on the new Thrive platform and may not yet apply to your current chapter site. All sites currently part of the program will be upgraded to Thrive in the coming months.

AFP Connect - Chapter Website Program Community

The AFP Chapter Website Program Community on AFP Connect is where we will post important information and helpful documents. We hope you will take an active role in this community and use it to discuss your websites, ask questions of your fellow site admins, post helpful documents, and more.

SUPPORT FROM AFP

AFP supports the technical side of the program. If any issues arise, AFP will coordinate directly with Higher Logic’s support team to resolve them, so chapters do not need to manage technical troubleshooting on their own. Please inform us of any site issues you may experience - [email protected].
