AFP Edmonton & Area Chapter: Fundamentals of Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

Please join us on Thursday, January 28, as Aisha Adams untangles the complexity of social issues

About the session:
Understanding equity, diversity, and inclusion is key to untangling the complexity of social issues. In this presentation, Aisha will lay the groundwork for professionals to make meaning and draw distinction between diversity, inclusion, and equity to help create safe spaces with the communities they serve.

About the speaker:
Aisha Adams is an influencer with a heart for community economic development who champions social change advocates, thought leaders, and courageous disruptors. She is founder and CEO of the Aisha Adams Media Group and partner organization Equity Over Everything, which advances equity by closing gaps in entrepreneurship and homeownership in low-resource communities. Aisha’s other ventures include the Asheville View, a daytime-style talk show that addresses “hot button” issues in Asheville, Nappy Thoughts, a personal blog followed by thousands of people on social media, and the Entrepreneurial Accelerator, a business bootcamp that ties fledgling businesses to community resources. She is also the program developer and founder of the Lenoir-Rhyne Equity & Diversity Institute (LREDI).

Zoom log in details will be sent to all registered participants upon registration closing.
