Gustavo Flores is a development leader offering over 15 years experience representing multi-national organizations. Gustavo currently serves on the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Global Board of Directors as the Mexico Foundation representative. He is currently serving as Chapter President for the Monterrey Chapter. He has also served as the Chapter Education Program Chair in 2017-2018 and as the Chair of the Chapter Youth in Philanthropy in 2017.

Gustavo currently works for Semper Altius & Regnum Christi as National Director of Development in Mexico. He is responsible for P&L and budgeting for $2-million-dollar annual income. Lead, coordinate and implemented all advancement and development strategies for the organization, creating two new boards and increasing drastically the donor’s base. Coordinate and execute all activities for Major Donors. Managed implementation of strategies for new revenue sources among the organization’s affiliates. Turned around traditional mindset into new energized methods and projects including the implementation of a CRM system across the organization. He has developed and negotiated strategic alliances with Fortune1000 companies including American Express, Chrysler, Telmex, and Citigroup that generated over $8 Million in revenue during the past four years. He led the fundraising Strategy in Mexico. Established the Development Office and increased donations by 230% in two years and more than 500% in 5 years. Negotiated contracts with global clients promoting advertising in special events creating brand recognition.

Gustavo’s core competencies are in fundraising, negotiations, executive leadership, marketing, technology, languages in English, Spanish and German, Human Resources, Engineering and Finance.

His education includes a Master in Business Leadership (MBA) from the DUX School of Business in Mexico, a graduate degree in Total Quality Management from Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft in Germany, and a BS in Industrial Engineering from ITESM, Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Sup in Mexico.
