Chapter Engagement and Membership Coordinator

The Chapter Engagement and Membership Coordinator works closely with the Vice President of Chapter Engagement, Director of Chapter Engagement, the membership team and other staff, to coordinate communication between AFP and chapters and to help facilitate communication between chapters and members, using a variety of technology platforms to strengthen the connection between AFP and local chapters to enable chapters to support the mission of the Association.

Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (IDEA)

The Head of Global IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) develops, in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the strategic direction for AFP’s IDEA commitment. The Head of Global IDEA is responsible for conceptualizing, executing, implementing, and measuring the success of IDEA principles and practices across the entire organization, including but not limited to: IDEA programs and initiatives. The Head of Global Idea has a unique opportunity to build an IDEA department with support from the CEO, while leading strategy and implementation across all departments.

Manager of Communications and Public Policy

Working closely with the Vice President of Communications and Public Policy and other staff, this position ensures that AFP’s external-facing content—which includes materials such as press releases, public policy briefs and position papers, and articles related to government relations, as well as programs such as awards, Ethics Awareness Month and National Philanthropy Day—is timely, relevant, valuable and on-brand. The position will also represent AFP in coalitions (primarily public policy-related but possibly others) and potentially before government officials at the federal, state and local levels.

Manager of Content - Written, Digital & Social Media

Working with the Vice President, Communications and Public Policy and other staff, this position ensures that AFP content—including our daily newsletter, quarterly Advancing Philanthropy magazine, columns, blogs and articles for the website, along with social media, video and other resources—is timely, relevant, valuable and on-brand. This position will write (and/or summarize) and edit articles, correspondence and other items for various AFP audiences.

Professional Development Coordinator

The Professional Development Coordinator helps coordinate and support initiatives to create, implement, maintain, and continuously improve AFP professional development programs, products, and services (“Programs”) that meet the needs of AFP members and the fundraising profession, as well as generate revenue for AFP. This position works closely with fellow team members within the AFP Professional Development department, as well as other AFP staff, contractors, and volunteers.

Professional Development Manager

The Professional Development Manager will drive continuous learning and improvement through organizational needs assessment, design, implementation, and evaluation of professional development programs to drive high performance, and enhance the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of education programs for AFP’s members.
