Thriving in a Chaotic Future

Futurist Jamais Cascio will help AFP frame the future, so we can be more future-ready and more able to make our preferred futures possible. Jamais will introduce the BANI Future: Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible—and he will show us how to flip it positive by being Bendable, Attentive, Neuorflexible, and Interconnected. The future will be increasingly chaotic, but we can thrive if we frame the future accurately and spark better possibilities.

Dan Lammot

Over the past 15+ years, Dan has co-founded and grown companies that apply cloud technologies to solve some of humanity's most pressing challenges in the Nonprofit and Social Impact industries. In October 2018, alongside co-founder Lina Pérez, Threshold was founded to convene AI, human-centered design, and deep technical capacity on Microsoft technologies to realize this vision globally. Dan is an avid surfer and ocean activist, and has served on the boards of the Surfrider Foundation, Villanova University, the Common Impact Data Standard Technical Committee, and the Technical Partner Network of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
