Thriving in a Chaotic Future

Futurist Jamais Cascio will help AFP frame the future, so we can be more future-ready and more able to make our preferred futures possible. Jamais will introduce the BANI Future: Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible—and he will show us how to flip it positive by being Bendable, Attentive, Neuorflexible, and Interconnected. The future will be increasingly chaotic, but we can thrive if we frame the future accurately and spark better possibilities.

Dan Newman

Dan Newman is a certified auctioneer, CEO, and founder of Alaska Premier Auctions & Appraisals. A graduate of the Missouri Auction School, he combines over a decade in media sales & marketing with top industry credentials, including BAS, CES, AMM, and CAI. As Alaska’s ambassador to the National Auction Association, Dan has helped nonprofits raise tens of millions through benefit auctions. Named a “Top 40 Under 40” honoree and Gold Pan Award recipient, he's also past chair of the Anchorage Chamber of Commerce.
