Thriving in a Chaotic Future

Futurist Jamais Cascio will help AFP frame the future, so we can be more future-ready and more able to make our preferred futures possible. Jamais will introduce the BANI Future: Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible—and he will show us how to flip it positive by being Bendable, Attentive, Neuorflexible, and Interconnected. The future will be increasingly chaotic, but we can thrive if we frame the future accurately and spark better possibilities.

Heather Richards

Heather Richards is a seasoned nonprofit professional with over 25 years of experience in strategic partnerships, fundraising, and organizational leadership. Currently serving as Director of Corporate Partnerships at The Trevor Project, she previously held senior roles at the Clinton Foundation, Bethel University, and the American Red Cross. Her work has focused on building sustainable relationships to advance social impact initiatives. Heather earned a Master of Communications and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Heather is based in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area.
