Thriving in a Chaotic Future

Futurist Jamais Cascio will help AFP frame the future, so we can be more future-ready and more able to make our preferred futures possible. Jamais will introduce the BANI Future: Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible—and he will show us how to flip it positive by being Bendable, Attentive, Neuorflexible, and Interconnected. The future will be increasingly chaotic, but we can thrive if we frame the future accurately and spark better possibilities.

Lety Martinez Hermosillo

Lety Martinez is Vice President of Philanthropy at the International Community Foundation, where she leads fundraising, communications, and donor engagement, strengthening cross-border philanthropy and supporting Mexican nonprofits. With over 12 years of experience, she has held leadership roles including Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Tijuana. Lety was named Outstanding Development Professional of the Year (AFP San Diego, 2021). She holds a B.A. from ITESM, a Master’s from Universidad Anáhuac, and certifications in nonprofit management, and is pursuing graduate studies in Nonprofit Leadership at the University of San Diego.
