The Central Ontario Chapter of AFP (Association of Fundraising Professionals) invites you to join us for a special celebration of philanthropy, including the presentation of the inaugural Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy Award, presented by TELUS.
Special Guest Speaker: Samantha Banks, Director of Philanthropy, Under 40, United Jewish Appeal Federation of Greater Toronto and the recipient of the 2016 New Professional Fundraising Award.
Samantha's topic is a good one: "Dismantling The 'Kids Table' -- Those under 40 do not want to reinvent the wheel; they understand the importance and legacy of what generations before them have built and want to enhance and enrich it."
Samantha Banks has been working and volunteering in the philanthropic sector for over a decade. She is a graduate of the Humber Fundraising and Volunteer Management Program and has held positions on both the fundraising and granting side of the industry. She loves to dance and throw events that bring amazing people together. She has worked in Montreal and Ottawa, and served as the Chief of Staff for a Family Office and Foundation in Toronto. Sam is now the Director of Philanthropy, Under 40, for UJA Federation of Greater Toronto.
