AFP ON, Ottawa Chapter Event: 2018 Philanthropy Awards Gala

National Philanthropy Day is a celebration of philanthropy—giving, volunteering and charitable engagement—that highlights the accomplishments, large and small, that all those involved in the philanthropic process make to our society and our world.

Locally, the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Ottawa Chapter celebrates this occasion with the AFP Philanthropy Awards to formally recognize those who have had a tremendous influence on our city through philanthropic contributions.

Wednesday, November 14, 2018 will mark the 24th annual AFP Philanthropy Awards Gala. Hosted at the National Arts Centre (NAC) from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., we will recognize eight inspiring individuals and groups who, through their hard work and dedication, are making our community a better place to live.

November 14 promises to be a wonderful evening that brings together the not-for-profit sector, corporate leaders and community builders to highlight the tremendous good that can come from working together. With an expected audience of 400, the guest list will include some of Ottawa’s top corporate executives, community leaders, philanthropists, volunteers, board members, donors, and fundraising professionals. This event will be complete with a captivating emcee and multi-media presentation of the award recipients and their inspiring stories.
