Today, we’re featuring the Sit Family Foundation, who is being honored by the Minnesota Chapter as Outstanding Philanthropic Organization for 2019.

Eugene Sit and his family emigrated from China in 1947 to America in pursuit of a better life. After leaving an established investment firm, Eugene Sit created Sit Investment Associates and started his journey in philanthropy with his wife. The Sit Family established campaigns that supported the American military after 9/11 through their Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Fund by providing cash grants to those defending the country.

Currently the Sit Family children are continuing the work of their parents through philanthropic ventures in their community. It is because of this family’s time, money, and effort that the Sit Family Foundation truly deserves to be recognized as an outstanding philanthropic organization.

The AFP Minnesota Chapter will be hosting a National Philanthropy Day event and honoring the Sit Family Foundation on November 15, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency Minneapolis. For more event and honoree details, please click here.
