IDEAA Community Programming Fund Application Review Criteria
Applications will be reviewed by the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada Board using the following criteria:
- Alignment with IDEAA Principles - 40%
The proposed program clearly supports Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Access, and Anti-Racism and demonstrates a meaningful connection to equity and anti-racism within the fundraising profession.
- Community Relevance & Need - 20%
The application demonstrates a strong understanding of the local fundraising community and explains why this topic or program is important and timely.
- Potential Impact - 20%
The proposed program has the potential to create meaningful learning, dialogue, or change for participants and the broader fundraising sector.
- Knowledge Sharing & Sector Benefit - 10%
The application identifies opportunities to share learnings, tools, recordings, or resources that could benefit other fundraising professionals across Canada.
- Feasibility & Budget - 10%
The proposal demonstrates a realistic plan and timeline.
Additional Considerations
The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada Board may also consider:
- Geographic representation across Canada
- Diversity of topics and perspectives
- Support for underserved or emerging fundraising communities
- Balance between virtual and in-person programming
Funding decisions will be made based on overall alignment with the goals of the IDEAA Community Programming Fund and available funding.
