Canada Foundation Announces Fall 2020 Recipients of the National Scholarship Program
The AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada is proud to announce that 7 fundraising professionals have received scholarships to pursue key continuing education opportunities across North America, such as, AFP Toronto Congress, AFP LEAD, AFP International Conference, and more!
Thanks to the support of the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada’s generous donors, over $5,000 in funding was disbursed following the Foundation's recent call for scholarship applications. Criteria and guidelines can be reviewed here.
The recipients are:
- Jayne Hammond (AFP Manitoba)
- Dane Shumak (AFP Greater Toronto)
- Maxime Michel (AFP Ottawa)
- Rubin Kataki (AFP Greater Toronto)
- Brittney Wynnyk (AFP Calgary & Area)
- Catriona Moore (AFP Quebec)
- Charlotte Taylor (AFP Greater Vancouver)
Every year the National Scholarship program receives more than 100 applications from fundraising professionals seeking more than $80,000 in financial aid. However, we can only meet a small portion of this need – less than 25%!
Through a gift to the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy – Canada's Every Member Campaign you are removing financial barriers and broadening access to professional development for fundraisers within your local chapter and nationally.
As our profession grows, the Foundation is committed to ensuring fundraisers are equipped with the skills and knowledge they need to raise funds effectively and ethically for charitable causes across the country and around the world.
