AFP CA, Orange County Chapter Event: CFRE Refresher Course (Oct. 2024)

October 24-25, 2024 | 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

AFP Orange County is pleased to present the CFRE Refresher Course.

Topics and Faculty include:

• Current and Prospective Donor Research / Securing the Gift - Chanda Parrett, CFRE,  President, Chanda Parrett Consulting
• Relationship Building / Volunteer Involvement - Keegan Bell, CFRE, Executive Vice President, Irvine Public Schools Foundation
• Leadership and Management / Ethics and Accountability - Joan McBride, CFRE , President & CEO, Greatrake, McBride & Associates

Each section will include a presentation followed by small group work on case studies. A complimentary continental breakfast and lunch will be served each day.

Registration fees include lunch and materials for all sessions.

Full participation in the CFRE Refresher Course is applicable for 16.0 points of CFRE Credit in Category 1.B – Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification. Please note that there is a separate application and application fee for the CFRE Exam which must be received by CFRE International (www.cfre.org) at least 2 months (60 days) prior to the exam date.

Participation in the AFP CFRE Refresher Course may assist you in learning or reviewing concepts covered on the Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) examination as detailed on the Test Content Outline provided by CFRE International. However, the AFP CFRE Refresher Course is not designed specifically as a prep course for the exam. It is designed to provide a review of concepts one should know at the five-year experience level. AFP highly recommends that this refresher course be just one of the resources you use in preparing to take the CFRE exam. Your study should also include reading books that appear on the CFRE Resource Reading List.

Cancellation Policy: A refund of conference fee, minus a $50 charge will be granted if requested by October 1, 2024.
