This session will provide a holistic view of the three types of empathy, and how a lack of empathy is apparent in behavior, policy, and operations. Matthew is the founding executive artistic director & CEO at American Legacy Theatre. Matthew has lived all over the country, working in the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, and he has represented the United States in the People’s Republic of China for international business affairs and Romania for UNESCO’s International Theatre Institute. As a theatre practitioner, Matthew has worked on three continents and is an accomplished producer, director, actor, playwright, and artistic developer. He actively seeks to create theatre for social change playing a critical role in system-wide improvement.
