Volunteers and Corporate Engagement: Choose the Right Tool for the Right Approach
About this Event
*The webinar will run for 1 hour. There will be a 30 minute networking session after the webinar - stick around and share your ideas! (1.0 CFRE credit)

Employer-Supported Volunteering is “any activity undertaken by an employer to encourage and support the volunteering of their employees in the community where they live and work” (IAVE, 2012). It can be a powerful way to support community projects, providing social and physical capital for charities, while connecting people with their community and aligning with employers’ HR objectives, such as recruitment, retention and professional development.

About the speaker:
Jennepher Cahill has over twenty years’ experience in fund development in Canada and the U.K. She is passionately committed to social justice issues and the arts. Over the years she has worked with groups as diverse as the National Association for Mental Health, SHELTER, National Youth Orchestra GB and Children’s Health Foundation. In her current role, as Director of Development for United Way Elgin Middlesex since 2014, she leads a talented team that manages complex community-wide campaigns to fund hundreds of essential programs and services that help the most vulnerable people in our local communities.

Jennepher and her family live on their farm in Middlesex Centre. She is a dedicated volunteer and advocate for several causes and, in her spare time, she enjoys raising heritage chickens.
