What fundraising data should I be measuring so that I can make better decisions?

There's lots of ways to measure fundraising, but if our goal is to increase impact, then we need to look at the things that will move that needle.

Together, we will look at what metrics are important for getting started, and how those metrics can be modified as you get more sophisticated to get more detailed information out of your fundraising systems.

About our presenter: Kirk has over 20 years of experience in the non-profit sector as a practitioner, consultant, and member of many boards. He has consulted over 100 nonprofits throughout Canada and the US, and has managed teams in annual giving (including monthly, tributes, and mid-level), prospect research, donations processing, data and systems, analytics, stewardship, planned giving, merchandising, and volunteer management.

The thing he is most known for, however, is his work in the metrics space. Kirk has a background in Mathematics, and brings his nerdy hobbies into the nonprofit sector to improve how we measure fundraising and how we interpret those measurements.

As a senior leader at the Alberta Cancer Foundation, he is helping bring in new tools and changing how we look at fundraising to generate more money for cancer research and treatment in Alberta.
