A Message From AFP: AFP ICON is Going Fully Virtual
Dear AFP ICON 2021 Attendees:
All of us at AFP have been excited about holding a hybrid conference experience in Minneapolis—after all, it’s been so long since we met in person. However, we’ve made the difficult decision to shift from a hybrid event with an in-person experience in Minneapolis to a fully virtual event.
We’ve made this decision out of an abundance of caution for your health and safety—our members and nonmember attendees, industry partners, volunteer leaders, staff and everyone else who plays a role in AFP ICON.
Despite the strides we’ve made related to vaccinations in the U.S. and worldwide, we’re simply not confident that we’ll be able to gather safely and meet the high standards of a world-class event like AFP ICON.
We’re disappointed, BUT… we’re excited to put on a virtual experience that will be richer, more comprehensive and more immersive than anything we’ve ever done before!
If you’ve already registered for the AFP ICON 2021 virtual experience, you don’t need to do anything except get ready for an amazing experience.
If you’ve already registered for the AFP ICON 2021 in-person experience, you have a few options:
- You can transfer to the AFP ICON 2021 virtual experience. To transfer to the virtual experience, you don't need to do anything; we'll automatically enroll you in the AFP ICON 2021 virtual experience by March 31, 2021, and refund you any difference in cost.
- You can transfer to AFP ICON 2022 in Las Vegas, NV (May 2-4, 2022). To transfer your registration to next year's in-person experience in Las Vegas, please notify us via email with your desire to transfer by March 31, 2021. Your request must be sent in writing to frp@maritz.com.
- You can cancel your registration for a full refund. To cancel your registration, please notify us via email with your desire to cancel by March 31, 2021. Your request must be sent in writing to frp@maritz.com.
After March 31, 2021, the standard transfer/cancellation policy for AFP ICON 2021 applies.
No matter what you decide, we will take good care of you, and rest assured, the AFP ICON VIRTUAL experience will be amazing!
