AFP VA, Central Virginia Chapter

The Central Virginia Chapter, founded in 1996, is based in Richmond. The service area covers Fredericksburg south to the North Carolina line and from Charlottesville to Williamsburg. Most events are held in the Richmond area.  

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Central Virginia Chapter is a group of over 100 people that represent all facets of our fundraising community. Our membership contains a diverse mix of career levels and areas of expertise. We all share a desire to improve our shared profession by supporting and empowering each other. We do this through numerous programs and events throughout the year that offer the opportunity for learning, sharing, mentoring, and collaboration. 
 
Diverse voices are vital to the continued growth and strength of our Chapter. We recently completed a DEI Assessment where we learned that members are seeking more opportunities for open discussion and collaboration. As a result, we are focused on creating inclusive monthly meetings that provide a safe and brave environment where members can share experiences, learn from one another, and grow together.
