AFP BC, Vancouver Island Chapter Event: National Philanthropy Day 2019

Every day, Islanders contribute to causes they love and generate social change that transforms our community for the good. The National Philanthropy Day Reception and Awards Ceremony acknowledges the dedication and passion of finalists in the following categories:

• Generosity of Spirit Honoree, sponsored by Victoria Foundation 
• Outstanding Fundraising Volunteer Award, sponsored by Coast Capital Savings
• Outstanding Philanthropic Service Club Award sponsored by Camosun College
• Corporate Responsibility Award, sponsored by the University of Victoria
• Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (5 - 10 years old), sponsored by the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island
• Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy (11 - 18 years old), sponsored by TELUS

Before the awards kick-off, keynote speaker Jessica Hussain will share the inspiring story of how she came to co-found one of Canada’s boldest philanthropic collaboratives designed to drive the cultural, economic and political changes required to make global gender equality a reality.
