AFP KY, Bluegrass Chapter Event: Free Webinar: The Current State of IDEA in Philanthropy: Bridging the Understanding

April 11, 2025 | 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.

Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) have gained prominence in philanthropy, yet challenges remain in translating commitments into meaningful action. While organizations increasingly prioritize equitable funding and diverse leadership, systemic barriers persist, often limiting resources for historically marginalized communities. Bridging the understanding requires shifting from performative measures to structural change, integrating equity into development, fostering inclusive decision-making, and addressing power imbalances.

Transparency, community-led solutions, and long-term investment in underrepresented voices are essential for sustainable impact. As philanthropy evolves, embracing IDEA principles holistically will ensure that funding strategies truly reflect the diverse needs of society.
