Collecting, storing, and using IDEA (inclusion, diversity, equity, & access) data has not historically been a common practice. More and more these days though, board members, donors, the communities we serve and the general public are looking to better understand the diversity of our donors, board and staff. However, our current processes and systems aren’t optimized to collect IDEA data points in transparent, intentional and thoughtful ways.

In this session we will walk through the ethical considerations related to collecting IDEA data to ensure that what we collect and how we collect IDEA data points is of value and does not cause harm.

This session will offer a brave space for questions; and will provide additional resources on IDEA data collection.
