AFP New Jersey invites you to celebrate Women’s History month with A’Lelia Bundles, the great-great-granddaughter and biographer of Madam C.J. Walker, the renowned African American entrepreneur, philanthropist, and activist who became America’s first female self-made millionaire.

A’Lelia will guide us through history, sharing Madam C.J. Walker’s tremendous journey from her bleak childhood to the creation of her international enterprise. A century later, her remarkable legacy still influences business and philanthropy today. Through stories and vintage photos, we will learn how Madame C.J. Walker empowered countless African American women, helping them to become financially independent entrepreneurs, community leaders and philanthropists.
