Experience the AFP Leadership Institute
AFP’s Leadership Institute is a week-long, in-person, learning experience which teaches both the theory, as well as practical applications, of key leadership concepts, with a focus specifically on applying these leadership skills to the fundraising profession.
There have now been two cohorts of this program so far, and each had a lot to say about the positive impact of the experience.

The first cohort of AFP's Leadership Institute met in St. Paul, MN, July 31- August 4, 2023.
There's not enough words to describe the people in this group. It has been an honor to work, learn, and reflect with them. I cannot put what they taught me in a few short paragraphs. AFP knocked it out of the park when they developed Leadership Institute. The international design of the program, the authentic conversations, well prepared instructors, mixed with a diverse group of professionals, made for a very open and welcoming environment for everyone to be authentic and vulnerable. The second cohort of AFP's Leadership Institute met in Arlington, VA, November 5-10, 2023.
The AFP Leadership Institute, in 5 days, became the best professional development I've had in my whole career. I feel like I grew so much as a leader that I don't occupy the space I embodied before. I walked away with twenty-one new best friends and a clear path forward to being my authentic self as a leader. Never have I grown so close to people I met for the first time in such a short time than during the amazing opportunity to participate in the Leadership Institute. The transparency and vulnerability of every participant made for connections we will have for a lifetime.
