The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet

The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet, 2021 Wisconsin Organization Philanthropy Award, AFP Wisconsin – Southeastern Chapter

The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet partners with Milwaukee’s restaurant community to promote the industry as they foster long-term relationships with local officials and community leaders. They work diligently to highlight the impacts of the industry by identifying programs and opportunities to showcase the industry’s positive contributions and identifying opportunities to collectively address pressing community needs.

The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet has established two annual initiatives: the “Back to School Celebration” (formerly named “Sherman Park Revival Celebration”) supporting Milwaukee Public School students and the “3 Days of Christmas,” which provides hot meals and gifts to different local charities each holiday season. Since 2019, the Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet has also partnered with Children’s Wisconsin health care system to establish “Do Good with Food,” a fundraiser in which participating restaurants give a portion of all sales to Children’s. In just a few short years and amid a global pandemic, they have raised more than $45,324 – a testament to their generosity and commitment to the community.

The Milwaukee Kitchen Cabinet is part of and supported by the Wisconsin Restaurant Association and the National Restaurant Association, and it was awarded the 2021 Wisconsin Organization Philanthropy Award by the AFP Wisconsin – Southeastern Chapter.

The AFP Wisconsin – Southeastern Chapter celebrated National Philanthropy Day on Nov. 9. Learn more about the event and honorees here.
