LaShonda Williams, MPA, CFRE, currently serves as the Director, Annual Fund at her alma mater, Prairie View A&M University. Her mission is to secure philanthropic support for students seeking economic empowerment through education. She currently oversees the Annual Fund, development communications, alumni giving, and donor stewardship. Prior to joining PVAMU, she was employed with the University of Houston in three divisions: College of Education, African American Studies, and Bauer College of Business External Relations. With nearly fifteen years of higher education experience, Ms. Williams also has expertise in strategic planning, program management, volunteer and board training, membership recruitment, fundraising execution, and marketing and communications planning. She has a proven track record of developing comprehensive multi-channel solicitation plans to elevate constituent engagement and giving.

Ms. Williams is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Troy State in Troy, Alabama. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., a life member of PVAMU National Alumni Association, and the former Houston Alumni Chapter President, and National Alumni Association Membership and Convention Chair.
