Selections for each respective committee are made in December and service starts on January 1st. All applicants will be notified of committee assignment by the end of December.

There are several volunteer opportunities available at the global level of AFP. There are many committees, subcommittees, councils, and task forces that are created each year based upon the strategic and business plans identified by AFP leaders and staff. These opportunities range in scope and are focused at the broader international or national level of the organization. Each opportunity is identified, and an expected time commitment is indicated next to the description.

Most of the work is done virtually. There are opportunities to meet during ICON and LEAD, but attendance at the in-person meetings is not mandatory.
