AFP DC, Washington DC Metro Area Chapter Event: Fundraising with Program Staff

In this session, we will present the tactics and techniques that Greenpeace's Leadership Gifts team used toward building a culture of philanthropy within the organization, training and empowering key members of its campaign staff to play an active role in fundraising and stewardship.

Led by members of the Leadership Gifts team, our goal is to also include the voices of campaigners who have participated in fundraising (these individuals will be based on the dates and times of the session, should our proposal be accepted), offering their own perspectives as to how the experienced this way of working.

The session will be presented in a conversational style, starting with a short overview of the work that was done, moving into a facilitator-led discussion with our campaigner(s), leaving time for a Q&A period with the audience.

Traditionally, we have used PowerPoint or a slide deck for these kinds of presentations, while avoiding handouts as an online location for sourcing materials is often more advantageous than finding past paperwork.

*Full participation in Fundraising with Program Staff is applicable for 1.0 points in Category 1.B -Education of the CFRE International application for initial certification and/or recertification.
