AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Course: AFP IL, East Central Illinois Chapter
The AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising Course provides new fundraisers-those with up to four years of professional experience-with an intensive introduction into the building blocks of effective practice. To design this 16-hour course, experienced fundraising professionals evolved AFP's introductory programs to address the real-world needs and challenges non-profit organizations face every day.
The intensive program provides an overview of skills, techniques, and program components, and includes substantive case studies and projects for both groups and individuals.
The course is organized into seven modules:
- Overview of Fundraising
- Developing an Integrated Fundraising Program
- Marketing for Ongoing Success
- Building & Sustaining Relationships
- Securing the Gift
- Volunteers - Partners in Fundraising
- Management & Accountability
WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND
Fundamentals is a great primer for those new to the field of fundraising, but it also has the potential to be a beneficial study tool with lasting impact on your career.
The course is applicable to 16.0 points of CFRE Credit for initial certification or re-certification. This program is only offered at the chapter level every 3 years or so.
In addition, the course featured case studies and small-group projects--making the learning experience both substantive and enjoyable. Those who completed the course are eligible to receive CFRE credit.
A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided both days and is included in the fee.
