Adrienne Longenecker, CFRE
Adrienne Longenecker, a certified fundraising executive, has led an impressive career as a creative problem solver, visionary executive, and meaningful relationship steward in the nonprofit and for-profit fields, in addition to her time as a professional dancer.
Adrienne has been featured in several well-known publications including the New York Times, I Live Here I Give Here Magazine, and Advancing Philanthropy. In 2010, Adrienne was named an Austin Under 40 Finalist in the Community Service category for her volunteerism and professional accomplishments championing basic needs and Fine Arts causes throughout Central Texas. Although speaking on body-mind centering, leadership, and fundraising takes her across the country, she is proud to call Austin home since her childhood.
Serving as the Executive Director at Colorado River Alliance, Adrienne drives the organization’s strategic growth and partnership development, and oversees the talented and dedicated staff team. Adriene has inspired creativity, connections, and commitment in thousands of colleagues, donors, peers, and community leaders through her professional roles with such notable organizations as Thinkery Children’s Museum, Austin Pets Alive!, and the Central Texas Food Bank.
A passionate community servant, Adrienne has enjoyed serving as a board member for organizations such as Leadership Austin, Sharir+Bustamante Danceworks, and the Greater Austin Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professional. Adrienne currently volunteers as Vice Chair of External Relations for the Board of Directors of the Global Association of Fundraising Professionals and as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for Austin Outside, a group that champions outdoor places for all throughout Greater Austin.
Adrienne attended the University of Texas at Austin and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree after which she enjoyed a meaningful career as a professional modern dancer; training and performing from coast to coast. To this day, one of her greatest joys is finding stillness of mind through body awareness and movement. Her latest endeavor in kinetic coaching, Leadership from Within, applies her deep understanding of techniques learned studying ballet, modern dance, Pilates, yoga, and Feldenkrais method with decades of experience as a professional to tap into the inherent wisdom that is our physicality when faced with leadership challenges. From a heightened awareness of the moment and oneself comes courage, authenticity, and purpose. Adrienne’s greatest pleasure is helping you be the best version of yourself and the best leader you can be, in this moment.
To stay body-mind centered herself, Adrienne enjoys the primary series of Ashtanga, cooking plant-based meals, and long walks in nature with her son and two dogs.
