H. Aldervan Daly, CFRE

H. Aldervan Daly, CFRE, is the Vice President for Development and Communications at HousingPlus Inc, a 22-year-old “housing-first” organization providing housing and support services to women and women-led families.  

He recently served as the first Executive Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Rising Ground, Inc. He also served as Director of Advancement at the Police Athletic League. He held positions at The New York Foundling, The Center for Employment Opportunities, and The Partnership for New York City. Aldervan recently completed the McKinsey Black Leadership Executive Program.

Aldervan shares his fundraising insight with others in the field. He is the author of the blog "The Thoughtful Approach To...", which offers practical advice for modern fundraisers. Aldervan co-presented a well-received workshop at the Association of Fundraising Professionals International Conference in 2023 entitled – Trauma Informed Fundraising:  the Fundraiser and the Donor. He was also an adjunct professor at New York University's George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising.

He served on the board and is a current member of the New York City Chapter of the Association for Fundraising Professionals (AFP). He serves on several committees for AFP International. He earned an MFA, specializing in fundraising and marketing, from Virginia Tech and a bachelor’s degree in International Studies from Rhodes College. He now serves on the Alumni Association Executive Board for Rhodes College. He lives in Brooklyn, NY, with his husband and son.
