Michelle Edgerton, MA

Michelle T. Edgerton is an experienced professional with over two decades of proven success as a fundraiser, marketing, and communication senior executive leader.  Michelle’s strengths include building strong, successful fundraising programs and helping organizations obtain greater clarity and mission alignment through strategic investments.  She is also a sought-after speaker and presenter who has facilitated tough conversations with fortitude and grace.  

Michelle currently serves as the Chief Advancement Officer/Executive Vice President of Mission Advancement for YMCA of the North.  Here, she leads the marketing, communications, and philanthropy teams.  Additionally, Michelle founded The Edgerton Group – an innovative, strategic fundraising and organizational development consulting firm.  Michelle provides fundraising and executive coaching to several executives through her firm.  

Michelle serves as the Vice Chair of External Relations for the Global Board of Directors for AFP.  She served as the President of the board of directors for the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) – Minnesota Chapter.  Michelle holds a Master of Arts degree in Leadership from Augsburg University, a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion from Wake Forest University.  Michelle and her husband, David Edgerton Jr. have two sons, a daughter, an amazing daughter in law and two grandchildren.
