Mohamed Abdelrahman is a highly accomplished leader with a remarkable career spanning over 24 years. He possesses specialized expertise in fund raising, non-profit management, financial management, internal audit, risk management, crisis management, strategy formulation, and performance improvement. Throughout his career, Mohamed has consistently achieved success and established himself as a seasoned professional in his field.

Mohamed's dedication to fostering effective governance practices is evident through his role as a Governance and Audit Committee Member of Ibn Sina Pharma, the country’s leading company in its pharma-distribution field. He actively contributes to ensuring the organization's financial integrity and robust governance framework, which will surely be a positive addition to what he will provide to the AFP global board. Furthermore, his membership in the Association of Fundraising Professionals "Egypt Chapter" and his position as the Country Champion for IFR4NPO Egypt both underscore his commitment to the nonprofit sector and his passion for improving fundraising practices in Egypt. 

One of Mohamed's notable achievements was his tenure as the Chief Executive Officer of MEK Foundation, Egypt's largest NGO. Leading a team of 1,000+ professionals in 40+ locations, Mohamed played a pivotal role in the organization's success, ultimately contributing to its recognition as a UNESCO prize-winning organization. Managing a multi-billion-pound budget, he demonstrated excellent fund-raising practices, exceptional financial management skills and strategic acumen.

Prior to his role at MEK Foundation, Mohamed served as the Performance Improvement Manager at PwC. During this time, he provided valuable services to clients across nine countries in the Middle East, primarily focusing on the nonprofit sector. His contributions in this role significantly enhanced operational efficiency and facilitated the achievement of strategic objectives for these organizations.

Mohamed's educational background further strengthens his qualifications. He holds his Global Business Master's degree from ESLSCA Paris, reflecting his commitment to continuous learning and professional growth. Furthermore, his certifications as a Certified Fraud Examiner, Practitioner in Business Continuity Management, Qualified Internal Auditor, Certified Risk Management Professional, and Certified Analytics Professional exemplify his broad range of expertise and unwavering dedication to maintaining the highest professional standards.

Mohamed is a practicing “Muslim” and is of middle eastern “Copt” ethnicity.
