AFP Appoints Laura Flemmings as Vice President, Finance and Administration

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Flemmings as vice president, finance and administration, effective September 8. With over 20 years of leadership experience spanning finance, human resources, and organizational management, Flemmings brings a proven track record of strategic management and operational excellence to AFP.

In her new role, Flemmings will oversee AFP’s financial planning and analysis, working with AFP executive leadership and the AFP Global Board of Directors to ensure strong fiscal stewardship, operational alignment across the organization.

“Laura is a dynamic and accomplished leader who has consistently driven organizational growth while building high-performing teams and efficient, values-driven workplaces,” said Art Taylor, AFP President and CEO. “Her deep expertise in nonprofit finance, along with her passion for mission-driven work, makes her an outstanding addition to our leadership team.”

Flemmings has held senior finance and operations roles at a range of nonprofit organizations, including FinRegLab, The Foundation School, HEALTH-ISAC, and FS-ISAC. In these roles, she successfully scaled operations, implemented streamlined processes, expanded global operations, and managed complex grants and financial reporting systems. At FS-ISAC, she oversaw growth from 3 to over 130 employees and helped increase annual revenue from $1 million to $26 million.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Strayer University. Her technical expertise spans a wide range of financial and HR platforms, including Deltek, Sage 50, FinancialForce, ADP Workforce Now, among others.
