National Philanthropy Day Spotlight: Jeanne Drummond
Throughout the month of November, the Association of Fundraising Professionals will be highlighting honorees from National Philanthropy Day chapter events around the world, showcasing outstanding donors, volunteers, corporations, foundations and others who are being recognized for their commitment to change and philanthropy.
Today we’re showcasing Jeanne Drummond, Outstanding Philanthropist Award winner, honored by the AFP Central Alabama Chapter.
Jeanne is being recognized by the chapter for her generous philanthropic commitment to child advocacy organizations local to Central Alabama.
A longtime board member of Child Protect, an organization that supports victims of child abuse, she pledged $250,000 to kick off the organization’s capital campaign. Jeanne is also an avid supporter of Bridge Builders of Alabama, the Family Sunshine Center and the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.
The AFP Central Alabama Chapter recognized Jeanne and other National Philanthropy Day honorees on Nov. 12.
