National Philanthropy Day® Spotlight: The Lind Brothers
The Lind Brothers, 2021 Youth in Philanthropy Award Winners, AFP Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties Chapter
The COVID-19 pandemic changed the way we operate, and moving to a fully virtual environment impacted some more than others—especially students who were forced to attend school online but did not have access to a consistent Wi-Fi connection.
Enter: Jaden and Jordan Lind.
The Lind brothers are being honored by the AFP Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties Chapter with the Youth in Philanthropy Award for meeting the challenge of providing Wi-Fi access to students in need so they were able to attend classes online.
Reaching out to friends and family, the brothers were able to raise more than $30,000, and donated it to Santa Barbara Education to assist students in need.
No strangers to philanthropy, the Lind brothers are also involved in numerous community projects, including the distribution of blankets and food to the homeless community in Santa Barbara through the Elf Project, a nonprofit organization started by the two.
The AFP Santa Barbara and Venture Counties Chapter will host its National Philanthropy Day event on Tuesday, Nov. 16. Learn more about the Lind brothers here.
