CPC Representative to the AFP Board of Directors
The application for the 2025 CPC Representative is now closed.
One seat on the AFP Global Board is held by a representative of the Chapter President’s Council (CPC). An election will take place after the nomination deadline to determine who will fill this position.
The CPC representative to the AFP Global Board serves a one-year term, non-renewable, in this position. The chapter president who serves as the CPC representative of the AFP Board will be eligible for re-nomination in following years in either an At-large Board or Officer position. The 2024 CPC Rep will need to attend a New Board Member Orientation and AFP Global Board Retreat December 5 - December 7, 2024 in Washington, DC.
A timeline for the nomination process is as follows:
- July 1 – Call for CPC Rep. nominations opens
- September 30 – Deadline for online nominations
- After October 8th – Voting will occur for two weeks online after LEAD and is limited to only Chapter Presidents.
Nominees are expected to attend three (3) board meetings a year, participate in committee, council, or task force meetings, and provide financial support to the US and/or Canadian AFP Foundations for Philanthropy. AFP Board member travel expenses are reimbursed per the Board Travel Policy to attend AFP board meetings.
