Mike's Monday Message: Dive into Summer Education
Summer is officially here! As you plan your vacations and much needed time for self-care and relaxation, it is also the perfect time to reflect on your mid-year goals and see how you can take advantage of some of AFP’s summer education.
AFP Deep Dives: During the year-end giving season it can be hard to find time for a long-form training. That’s why (obvious pool pun aside), summer is the perfect time to register for one of AFP’s Deep Dives. These courses go beyond the basics, providing in-depth skill development that will prepare you to take the next step in your career or set you up for success with your upcoming campaigns.

Affinity Group Speaker Series: In our recent member spotlights we have heard consistently how affinity groups make it so much easier to discover community within the fundraising sector. This year, we have added an additional element of connection to these meetings – an affinity group speaker series. In these extended sessions, a member of the community is invited to give a presentation highlighting their unique journeys and perspectives. Our next Affinity Group Speaker Series session is taking place on June 24 and will feature two distinguished African American development professionals, past AFP Global Board Chair, Alphonce Brown, Jr., ACFRE and Morgana Nieves, who will be discussing the challenges they have faced, the triumphs they have achieved, and the invaluable lessons they have learned along the way. All are welcome to join!
AFP Webinars: If you’re looking for skill development that you can fit in between donor meetings this summer, check out our hour-long webinars, many of which are complimentary. These are a great way to prepare for the end-of-year giving season, with innovative topics like AI and digital fundraising.
