Youth in Philanthropy Resources
From where will the next generation of philanthropists come? The obvious answer is from the youth of North America and the world. The same answer applies to the next generation of ethical fundraisers. AFP has an obligation to promote and encourage the involvement of young people in philanthropy and the profession of ethical fundraising. This section of AFP’s website is devoted to the efforts of our chapters and others to encourage young people to become actively involved in philanthropy and fundraising. Look here for ways you can become involved in Youth in Philanthropy.
AFP's Role in Youth in Philanthropy
AFP is committed to the development of the next generation of fundraisers. The Association understands that in order to ensure that there will be interest in the nonprofit sector and fundraising in the future, young people must be exposed to philanthropy in a meaningful way at a young age. To that end, more than ten years ago, AFP created the Youth in Philanthropy Subcommittee.
