5 Fundraising Trends for 2026

Every new year brings new “unprecedented” challenges and 2025 was no exception. Every announcement, from federal funding cuts to Executive Orders, to tax law changes was another leak to be plugged, on top of the day-to-day work it takes to keep a nonprofit afloat. If we’ve learned one thing, however, this past year, it should be that when we collaborate, innovate, and advocate together as an industry, we create the rising tide that lifts all ships. There were a lot of losses in 2025, but there were also a lot of wins, and it is those opportunities that are guiding us into the new year as we look for the positives that will sustain us through whatever 2026 has to throw at us.
